KPIX is reporting that the Florida legislature adjourned without addressing necessary steps to complete the work for Florida’s bid for Superbowl 50, leaving Santa Clara as the last one standing for that Superbowl.

And if you have friends and relatives who are interested in coming to the Bay Area for the game, I encourage you to teach them all about Caltrain, and how it’s a wonderful way to get around the area…
And they really don’t mind when you ride the train drunk. Really.
Honestly, they really don’t. And that makes it HORRIBLE. I HATE game days. The superbowl will make everything around here obscenely expensive for no damn reason other than a bunch of loud obsessives watching a bunch of muscle-bound apes throwing a stuffed pig skin while other apes smash into each other.
The entire business is a mad exercise in futility and silliness. Why must they destroy the quality of life of an entire region in its pursuit?
Because there are cheerleaders!
