Might be a relatively short night, for the general meeting at least.
We start the evening with a closed session to discuss our City Attorney recruitment efforts. Our general meeting starts with recognition of this year’s Santa Clara Valley Science and Engineering Fair award winners.
Our consent calendar is on the large side – $1 million in Housing Mitigation funds to rehabilitate an existing affordable housing project, a contract for 7 new Public Safety utility vehicles, a contract to replace the Mathilda/Olive traffic lights, a contract to remove vegetation around the Water Pollution Control Plant ponds, a $2 million contract for concrete work, another NOVA board appointment, and our regular investment report.
Item 2 is a review of a Planning Commission decision regarding an 11-unit townhome project on Morse and Maude. Staff is asking for the item to be continued until November 10th due to staff availability.
Item 3 involves potential changes to city ordinances regarding zoning and child care facilities.
And item 4 returns the issue of an updated massage ordinance. In response to complaints and concerns, staff has revised the proposed ordinance.
