Pretty straightforward night. We start the evening with the second half of our Board and Commission interviews before we go into general session. First up is a special order of the day recognizing National Falls Prevention Awareness Day.
The consent calendar is more of the usual – a contract with the Bill Wilson Center for youth workforce services to be run out of NOVA, a federal grant for attending this year’s Urban Shield conference, a grant for the “Schools Goin’ Green Project”, a contract to look at stormwater run-off issues in response to a lawsuit by the San Francisco Baykeeper, and adoption of the green building and zoning ordinance changes that we previously approved.
Item 2 is our semi-annual appointment of new Boardmembers and Commissioners.
Item 3 has us adopting our new Urban Forest Management Plan. This has been in the works for a while.
Item 4 is possible adoption of a new joint-use agreement with Cupertino Union School District. One interesting change in the agreement is that Sunnyvale will gain some access to the CMS gymnasium when it isn’t in use, for the Parks & Rec Department to run programs.
And our final item is an update to our fire code based on some review of our previous amendments in 2013.
