Google has posted a blog entry in which they’ve announced the next phase of their 1 gigabit fiber-optic network to the City of Sunnyvale, to provide residents with internet and TV services at 100 times the speed of most commercially-available networks.
As the heart of Silicon Valley, Sunnyvale has a culture of innovation and a community of early adopters that makes us a perfect fit for this initiative. Our residents need a cutting-edge technology infrastructure, and we welcome the opportunities that gigabit broadband could bring to Sunnyvale.

Pull out all the stops and go for it!
Want
Corey: it’s coming to SJ, SC, MV, and PA as well.
But there’s nothing mentioned about Campbell…
Let’s hope it is available before I can no longer afford to live in Sunnyvale 🙂

@JimGriffith_SV That’s great to hear. Is there any way we can help with the city’s case? Sunnyvale businesses would really benefit.
