Please note that this is unconfirmed by me. I know nothing about it other than this article that just came across my radar. The San Jose Business Journal is reporting that the US Post Office has identified new space for the main Sunnyvale post office at 209 E. Java Drive in the far northern part of the city. As previously reported in a number of places, the existing main post office on Mary is being sold and developed into an office building that will be occupied by Apple.
Interesting choice for the USPS, if true. One really nice aspect is that it’s effectively a reverse commute for its fleet of postal vehicles, which has to be a big win. UPS and FedEx already made similar choices in their locations.
